Tales of the knight -hisoka side- chapter 1

(just to clarify Tales of The Knight is Hisoka's story and Tales of The Queen is Rita's side)
-Current time: 12 years ahead from Rita's first chapter-

"Fire!"
The loud cry rang out through the castle courtyard. Hisoka stood there waiting for his turn to shoot; it was silly that he needed to learn such a thing when he could do much better things.
"Hisoka why are you just standing around!? What the hell do you think you're doing?"
Hisoka looked up at the large muscular man whose spit was flying onto his face.
"No sir, there, however, is no reason for me to be here" The sergeant looked at him displeased.
"And why is that!?" His spitting habit was really beginning to displease Hisoka.
"Sir, I could kill you if you'd like and prove to you that I have no need to be here, but I could also just leave and pass my military exam."
The examiner was taken back by his bravery.
"Fine..then...You can go." Hisoka walked briskly past him and into the castle.
"Rita?" He called, looking around the halls.
"WHAT!?" Rita shouted from the bathroom.
"OK I'm going to go now.." Hisoka backed off, he didn't feel like talking to the grouchy princess.
"What you afraid of a girl taking a dump?" She said walking out of the bathroom.
"No..thats not it at all." Hisoka felt nervous, he didn't like how awkward Rita got at moments like these.
"Anyway your mother sent you a letter, I think you should read it!" Hisoka said defiantly.
"Why should I?" Rita muttered, taking her place at the throne.
"BECAUSE it's important Ri.." Hisoka trailed off. Rita sighed and snatched the letter from Hisoka's hand. She looked down at the letter that read:
"Dearest Rita, I worry I must return soon to the castle. I know your father shall not forgive me for the affair I had, but please do your best to convince him.
If Hisoka has not read this yet, it is of the utmost importance that he protect you as best he possibly can in this time, until I can be with you-"
Rita stopped reading abruptly,
"Why does she think..." She teared up, "That I need her?" Hisoka sighed,
"Keep reading."
"-There are people out to get you Rita, people who want what you have. It's a dangerous thing, power is. I will be there as soon as I can catch a boat out, I feel like you should know that your little brother died of pneumonia yesterday, there was nothing we could do. I broke it off with Hiroshi, Ri. He can't get in your way anymore..I needed a reason to break off and when he refused treatment of your brother...I didn't know what to do. I hope you know I love you and will be there soon,
Your mother,
April"
Rita began to cry, "I...didn't even know I had a brother! How could I let her go through that alone!?"
Rita nearly fell out of her chair sobbing, it was so hard for Hisoka to watch. He couldn't even imagine what it would have been like if he had to lose his little sister..or even if he had never met her.
"Rita, the mail carrier told me something else when he delivered this."
Rita looked up with a glint of hope in her eyes.
"What'd he say?" Hisoka cleared his throat a bit, he needed to prepare her.
"Rita...he said that Hiroshi is coming to the castle also, not with your mother. That he is after everyone here, he wants to destroy the whole castle."
"Why?" Rita asked.
"Heh..I really don't know..I'm sorry. Whats important now is that we defend it until your mom arrives, after all she is a witch stronger than any other witch in the country."
Rita nodded, she hated that she didn't have the power that her mother possessed, it ate at her that she couldn't be strong too.
"Don't worry Rita, you might not be strong, but you wouldn't go running around on your child and husband." Hisoka smiled.
Rita sighed, there was much to prepare for.
